Problem Solving
Remember to stay cool. Don't freak out! Take a deep breath and think for a minutes or pause you don't have to solve it or address it right away.

When searching for options to solve your problem think about these questions?

Is it against the law?
Is it harmful to others or to you?
Would it disappoint your family or others?
Is it wrong to do? Would you be sorry?
Would i be hurt or upset if someone did this to me?

Patience p 15

Patience
Today we talked about Patience in class.  This is an area that most people struggle with.  We get grumpy when we have to wait in line , in traffic, for something to load, for a fish to bite, for Xmas to come, for grandparents to learn to text or use the remote, for the mail, the lunch line, lines at the grocery store .  You name it and we have to practice patience in our everyday lives.

CCR 9/11/2015

Today we reviewed our Healthy Living Notes !
Please finish that page in your Lil Book
We began talking about our goals and wrote our goals and plans in class.  if you need extra time to think and write about your goals please take some quiet time over the weekend to reflect on that and complete the handout I gave you.

Over the weekend you have no assigned homework but if you would like to work on the pages you have not finished i encourage you to do so.  Also remember to do random act of kindness when you see an opportunity arise.  It can be as simple as a smile or helping with a chore or encouraging words.

Thank you to everyone who shared your thoughts in class today.

Please stay organized, eat healthy, drink plenty of water, move your body, sleep 8 hours per night , have an attitude of gratitude and stay positive!

Living Healthy p.8

Today 9/10/2015
We talked about random acts of kindness you generated lots of wonderful ideas for doing kind acts and most did not cost anything just shifted our attitudes.

Remember to write a list on page 7 and then mark your calendar every time you do an act of kindness.

The second half of class was talking about living a healthy lifestyle.  There are many things we can do to stay healthy, I listed a ffe key points.  Here they are if your were absent take the following notes on page 8.

Healthy Relationships

Eat Foods that Strengthen you
  • Prepare foods at home
  • eat fruits and vegetables
  • eat 3 small meals and 2 healthy snacks per day
  • Drink Lots of Water
  • Read labels- avoid labels with too many ingredients

Sleep is Important
  • get at least 8 hours of sleep per night

Exercise
  • at least 30 minutes a day
  • find something you enjoy that makes you move your body!
